If you want to root your android phone(here it is android 2.3.6) , Firstly you need to download root file from here. Then follow the below instructions:
1. make a folder on sd card name it root
2. put the .zip in there
3. turn off your phone and restart in recovery
by pressing and holding home+power on button
4. install the .zip from sd card
5. reboot, done
6. the superuser is now available.
Now you successfully rooted you Android Phone.
